Note, this isnot my confession. I make my preferences quite obvious on the blog itself, so hitching a confession as well defeats the purpose of my fangirlish nature. So, to the anon who submitted the confession, here you go. :)

Now, I’ve not been a part of this fandom since the beginning so I obviously can’t speak to the truth of what I’m about to say. But this is what I think happened with all the Golden Swan shippers. 

• Gold and Emma interact for the first time when he’s hustling Granny for money. Great first impression is greaaaat.
• Gold and Emma team up to retrieve Ashley. Emma finds out Gold is in the business of buying babies. She might be of the opinion that he is the scum of the fucking earth.
• “How about tolerance?” The sexual chemistry yall, I can’t even.
• Gold burns buildings down and otherwise plays off of Emma’s white-knighting to get her elected sheriff. What girl with trust and attachment issues wouldn’t want him? 
• Skin Deep airs. Rum/Gold is shown to have a canon love interest.
• Cue the butt-hurtery that *gasp* Golden Swan has a canon rival. 

Seriously, I don’t care if you ship them. I never saw Gold as treating Emma as anything else but a means to Regina’s end. And I never saw Emma as really appreciating being treated as such. You think that’s sexy? Fine. But when you’re outright denying canon facts and tearing down Rumbelle shippers so you can feel better about your at BEST subtextual ship, that’s when my respect ends. 

Well, this reminds me so much of another shipping war I know. *ahem*A:TLA*ahem*

IKR? Gosh this shipping war might get worse now that some people are shipping Belle with the Hatter. I hope this won’t be bloody. *eyetwitch* There was enough drama already in the Rumbelle ship itself. How much more when other ships concerning RumpleGold/Belle set sail?

I’ve had enough of bloodiness that was the A:TLA shipping wars. And probably there will be another war when Korra finally airs. I can already feel the tension among shippers.

I cannot anymore. *sigh*

And haven’t the shipping wars ALREADY started for Korra? I am pretty sure the moment they announced Korra’s two male companions the wars began. Even though we know literally nothing about either of them. AVATAR FANDOM, WHY YOU DO THIS DO US?

Why is the Hatter/Belle ship happening? Like, where did the inspiration come from? Did I miss something terribly important?

Personally, I’m all for multi-shipping like a boss. I’d still roll with Gold/Emma. I like Rumbelle better, but Gold/Emma has potential.

I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO BE FRIENDS, DAMMIT. 

Yeah, I guess that Korra shipping war started since Mako and Bolin were announced. And when Bryke said something about them loving love triangles (I don’t know where they mentioned this though, but it has been going around the fandom). Avatar fandom can be fun and deadly at the same time.

I’m not sure where the Hatter/Belle started, but I have a hunch it started with Cyprith’s fic, and then I found this conversation on the OUAT tag. And probably the fact that the Hatter is mad and could possibly be in the same place as Belle is in Storybrooke.

I multi-ship too. I used to stick to whoever ship I wanted, but ever since A:TLA ended and I’ve explored shipping more, multi-shipping became fun. But ever since Rumbelle, somehow I just ship them so hard it hurts I don’t even know what to do if they don’t become canon. I will probably cry and eat a huge Hershey’s bar. But whatever the writers decide, I’ll go with it. It’s their story. And it’s probably just a phase of mine XD
